You don’t have to listen to the whole song/watch the whole video, but at least make it through the intro.
My Tour de Cure ride is this weekend. I’ve only been fundraising for a couple of weeks but the amount of support you all have shown is incredible. In these last few days I’m looking for a few extra dollars if you’ve got any to spare.
Tour de Cure – It’s more than a bike ride.
After weeks of procrastination, I’ve finally registered for my local Tour de Cure event in Reston, VA. If you have a few minutes and hopefully a few dollars to spare, I would appreciate it if you could take a few minutes to hop over to my Fundraising page and consider donating.
Short and sweet today.
If you know anything about the Diabetes Online Community, I’m sure you’ve seen tweets from someone calling herself @DMomBlog. You might also be familiar with her blog, D-Mom Blog. If you are reading this post, then you are part of the Diabetes Online Community Family. As such, you should at least click this link to Leighann’s (and her daughter’s) Kiss a Pig donation page. If you have a few dollars left over from your tax return, please consider donating.
If you do donate, [as suggested by Dayle] also consider listing your name as ‘The Diabetes Online Community Family – [Your Name]’ to show Leighann, Q, and everyone else how strong this community is.

While not exactly a guest post, I’m kinda taking the day off. To give you a peek behind the curtain for a second – I’m going to be on vacation from July 26 to July 30. The plan is to stock up on an extra episode of my podcast and have some tolerable posts for the rest of the week. There’s also the matter of a future guest post of mine going up over here (when I write it) and starting to compile some GoogleDocs for my former fake boss to review for this tangent friendly website. Since I have a lot to brew on, and I got this lovely email during my lengthy commute yesterday, I’m ceding the rest of my text to Becky of Instructions Not Included.
Today we have a special guest. Or is it guests? With all the hoopla surrounding the Jonas Brothers, be it marriage, their music (blah), or Wilford Brimley we just can’t seem to get rid of these guys. They stopped by the AOL campus for a fundraiser this past Monday and my Dad was one of the people in the stands. Battling the sun and all the tweens in attendance, he was kind enough to snap a few pictures and after a little convincing he has decided to grace this blog with his prose a second time. Take it away Dad. Continue reading
