About Medicine X 2014 – Day 0

I realize that the longer I wait to Storify my tweets from last weekend, the more I’ll have to sift through before I find the content I want. Call it denial. Call it procrastination. Call it way too many tweets. Whatever you want to call it, you’re probably right.

So here’s Day 0, and my perspective on the Partnering for Health Workshop with Eli Lilly.

Here are my two favorite tweets from the day.

Our group exercise was designed to simulate some of the challenges of developing a clinical trial. Funny to see how some things are missed despite the seeming ease of design. I mentioned as much shortly after that tweet:

Important tweet number two:

All in all, it was a good experience. I may not have learned anything specific about clinical trials with respect to my little world of diabetes, but I’m building the foundation to learn more, and that’s what I hoped for. More commentary and tweets to follow next week.

You can see the rest of my comments on Storify, here.

Disclosure: As a member of the ePatient Advisory Board, my registration fee for Medicine X was covered by the conference. I’m writing about this stuff because I’m incredibly passionate about it, clearly – not because there’s a feudal obligation to do so.
