The UN Foundation had their company party last night. Family was invited to join the celebration. And when I say family, I mean that you had to indicate the age of the children attending because each child received a present, family. They did it up nice. The venue was hosted at the National Museum of Women – a very cool spot. I’m looking forward to taking a proper tour during regular business hours.
Also present, former Colorado Senator and UN Foundation President Tim “Hi, I’m Tim” Wirth. (That’s how he introduced himself at the door to everyone that walked in. Very cool guy.
Next to him at the podium is UN Foundation CEO Kathy Calvin based on her remarks, a highly motivated woman.
Finally, the hundreds of attendees. As mentioned this was about more than just employees as family members of all ages were present – further illustrating the support structure the Foundation has (even if some of the babies there couldn’t stand or speak. Emotional support comes in all kinds of flavors, right?)
Fun times.
