Full disclosure: I’m writing this on Saturday, but I think it’s worth it.

We saw 50/50 today and it was fantastic. I’m still processing everything but I think the living with diabetes puts a sense of realism behind the basic plot of the movie. I’m not comparing cancer to diabetes but the emotions after diagnosis (at least as portrayed in the movie) certainly felt similar.

I’m sure the director and producers don’t anticipate those kinds of emotions but the story was meaningful enough to me that the movie was worth the price of admission. Give it a go if you’re looking for something to see.
