Anyone else out there think about how niche all of this really is? Imagine a series of Venn Diagrams. Each one with a different label.
People with Internet access. People with a chronic illness. People with diabetes. People with type 1 diabetes (or people with type 2 diabetes). People who write blogs. People who write blogs about diabetes. People who read blogs. People who read blogs about diabetes. People who read this blog.
I’m sure I missed a few circles, but if you think about it, our group of d-bloggers is incredibly, incredibly small in the grand scheme of things. Even if you expand out to the overall online community: the bloggers, the tweeters, the readers, the writers, the lurkers…there really isn’t that many of us out there.
