Avon Walk

While my sister doesn’t often make an appearance on this blog, I figured this is a worthy opportunity. Technically this is not a fully-fledged guest post, but I’ll consider this a small step to getting her to really write something for this blog. Anyway, here’s my sister.

Dear Friends, Family, and Coworkers [and now Eager-Readers],

As you may know, I have accepted the challenge and am participating in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer on April 30-May 1 in Washington D.C.. This is the first time I have every participated in a walk to raise money for such an important cause. I did not realize how much work it would take to be involved which is why I am emailing you. I need your help. In order to participate in this 39.3 mile long walk (over two days) I have to raise at least $1,800. It goes without saying that I need your donation and prayers as I embark on this journey.

Please donate anything you can, small or large, and spread the word to your family, friends and coworkers. Your donation will not only allow me to participate in the Avon Walk but more importantly your donation will help to benefit the fight against breast cancer. Thank you so much for reading this email and for your support. Please let me [or ME] know if you have any questions.

Even if you can’t donate today, or tomorrow, please consider retweeting this or posting a link up on your facebook status. I would consider it a personal favor. Thanks for your time.
