Thunder Snow

Thunder Snow! (Image Source: Dayle)

The DC Area finally got its first legitimate snowfall of the winter. Of course this came with a 5+ hour commute home for my dad and dozens of cars unable to climb icy hills in Arlington, but at least there was thunder snow!

Check out this blog entry from The Washington Post detailing the fun. I’m sure Holly could find some flaws in the science reported, but we’ll just let that slip ;)

I didn’t dissect his whole article, but it seemed pretty right on. Sounds like you guys got what we got a few weeks ago: cold, wet weather followed by a low pressure system. It’s the perfect scenario for having piles and piles of snow building up.

I miss the sun and its warmth. =(
