My creative energy is at a minimum this week. I think I’m getting better, but my sniffles are never content being just sniffles. And they like to linger. I picked up a box of tissues that claimed to kill 99% of germs and viruses. There was fine print involved but the promise of virus eradication didn’t sell the product to me. I needed something soft for my nose and I don’t trust generic tissues. Same thing goes for toilet paper – I have no problem paying an extra dollar or 2 considering the what and where. But the fact that tissues now need a tag-team partner in retail tickled my curiosity bone. What is it with X WITH Y products?
Between tissues that kill virus and tissues with Vicks, what will they think of next?
Toothpaste can’t just clean your teeth, it needs to do five other things. I lost count of how many varieties of toothpaste are offered under the Colgate label.
It’s not Tide anymore, Tide with anything…or everything

And don’t get me started on soda (not pop). Diet with Lemon-Lime-Vanilla-Cherry-Splenda-Plus. It’s insane. I’m not sure if this is what the Doctor ordered. I understand a little variety, but this is ridiculous.
These are the things that occupy my mind when I’m too sick to focus on more important matters. I need to get better in a hurry.
Help!

I hear ya! now, did you virus killing tissues save your nose?
Tissues and TP for me have to be unscented/uncolored, name brand or not. Some of the extra-soft tissues (Puffs is a particularly bad offender) leave me sniffling/sneezing/coughing and even more congested than I’d been beforehand.
