Sick Day
I’m very stubborn about my health. I wouldn’t recommend being stubborn about Diabetes though, not a good idea. I still remember the weekend my parents came down to see me before my diagnosis and questioning my health/appearance. “No, it’s just stress. I’m fine.” Slowly, maybe even surely, I’m more willing to accept reality when it comes to something as simple as a case of the sniffles. I’m not sure what caused it, but I’m now drinking significantly more water than normal, I’m becoming really friendly with Day/NyQuil, and my blood glucose numbers are through the roof.
I’m sick.
So, instead of something thought provoking, you get this. Nothing. Ok, maybe not nothing. Honestly, my gameplan whenever I’m sick involves sweatpants, a hoodie, a big cup of water and a comfortable position on the couch/bed. But, if you prefer some more professional recommendations for managing something as small as a case of the sniffles to something significantly more serious, here’s what the ADA has to say.
Rather than leave like this, I offer you some sweet steadicam shots that I could find on youtube. In a steadicam shot, the scene unfolds from a single camera without cutting to a different angle. If an actor screws up, you have to start over. For something like a walk-and-talk, that might present a particular challenge to those that need to remember their lines. But things could get much more complicated if you include say, a Rube Goldberg machine, an increasingly complex music video, or a 4-minute fight sequence up a spiral staircase. Enjoy.

Ugh, I’m so stubborn about being sick too. I swear, I have to be half dead before calling the doctor. I’m the worst!
Hope you are feeling better soon!! And thanks for the steadicam shots. My best friend’s husband does steadicam for a living. Those camera and the harnesses they mount to are pretty big and heavy – lugging that around is a workout all on it’s own!
