Proud Mary

December 2, 2009

I tell the story in this episode of Just Talking, but it’s worth repeating. My first time on a podcast of any form was as episode of Gamer Husbands Radio. I thought I was just testing out my mic, apparently they were recording the entire time. Next thing I know I’m introduced on Post Game Report and the rest, they say, is history. It was only a matter of time before I brought on the “Majority Shareholder” of Gamer Husbands, Alfred on to talk. By a small series of unfortunate events my initial guest had to cancel his appearance. Thankfully Alfred stepped up and strapped in for a quality recording. I say it every week, but you all are in for a treat.

Episode 7 – Proud Mary

I’m going back to my relatively short podcasting roots this week. Alfred, or GHR_Maverick as he is known throughout the rest of the Internet joins me for a lengthy and thoughtful episode. We talk about his website, GamerHusbands.com and all that is involved with organizing a community and a podcast week after week. We talk about living with Diabetes, both Type 1 and Type 2. And we even talk about Twilight. Honestly there isn’t enough space to describe all that we cover, you’ll just have to listen and enjoy.

If you have any feedback for me, send your comments, questions and other insight to feedback@justtalkingpodcast.com

Oh, and here’s the picture we talk about somewhere in the middle of this podcast

No issues. I admire your tenacity to keep all things yours so organized. ;-)

GArate podcast! Good stuff. Wonderful to hear the perspective of a Type 2. Thanks Alfred! Keep up the great work. You are an inspiration to many, believe me.

We had a blast recording this show. It felt good to actually talk about Diabetes and just be honest about how it effects me. It’s funny, because after the Diabetes talk, I was thinking, “I hope i’m not bringing everyone down,” and then we transitioned to a different subject. I want to stay active in this community, because it helps me out reading Chris’s blog and his tweets. Thanks a lot Crystal. You words are very appreciated. I just looked at your page too, and will continue too. This was such a fun experience, and Chris has evolved as a podcaster in such a short time. Keep it up

Dude I am the exact same way. I keep all of my shoes in the boxes and coordinate all of my clothes by dress clothes and casual clothes and then color coordinate them. I wasnt at work yesterday and I can tell that someone used my iPod charger.
