Cop Out

Today would be one of those days I offer up a total cop-out post and kindly ask for forgiveness. It’s not that I don’t have the motivation to put up another blog post, I just don’t have the motivation to try to collect my thoughts. I’ll see what I can do, but I’m not making any promises.

I spent part of Sunday morning looking at some places for sale. Despite driving all the way out to Centreville to find these places, one of them looked very promising. I say looked because as of drafting this post, there is almost no chance I can even afford to put an offer on it. I’d elaborate, but I don’t fully understand the economics of what is going on. Maybe that’s a good thing, no sense in becoming a homeowner if I am not ready to understand the paperwork side of things. And here I thought the housing market collapsed and all kinds of places would be on the table to consider. A lot has to happen between now and whenever move-in day occurs, I just wish I could reduce the level of shenaniganry. Yes, that’s a word.

On the Wilford front, I finished my latest Lantus pen. Overall I didn’t see a change in my morning fasting numbers. I think that’s a good thing since they weren’t too bad for the most part. No overnight lows over the past 2 weeks, so that’s good news. I still have issues with portion control and balancing my food with the right amount of insulin, but right now I’m focusing on the overnight stuff. One battle at a time.

I’m thinking about posting my past week of numbers on here, I can trust you guys to not judge me right? Nobody is perfect. As long as I can remember that I should be ok, right? We’ll see. I still have time before I bail out on opening up on my next blog post.

In the mean time, here is the Modern Warfare 2 Round Table from Talking About Games. Combined, it’s over 4 hours. I would know…I edited the whole thing. Yikes. If you would like to consume this marathon in chunks, I suggest you subscribe to the Post Game Report on iTunes and download it there. If not, prepare for glory.

    Continued luck finding a place.
Woo hoo for no overnight lows. ;-) As far as posting numbers, dude. They are Just numbers. NO judging is allowed.

Happy Monday. (I attribute that bit to the silver lining of my morning that will turn into an uncomfortable evening…..vanilla milkshake. Yum.)

Funny how we even cringe a little about posting the crappy readings to other diabetics, right? Yanno how I post a BG reading at the top of each post? Man, I don’t mind if it’s low, but I hate when it’s high. Is it really even possible to shake *all* of the judgment that comes with “bad” numbers? I keep trying, but I don’t know if I’ll ever completely accomplish that.
