A Hodgepodge of Awesome
October 19, 2009
Another weekend in the books. No time for sentences so today’s awesome is delivered in bullet point format. Yea, yea, yea. I know I keep promising more worthwhile sentences, and I mean it. I really do. Full disclosure, I started this post around midnight so I didn’t have much time to put a lot of thought in to this one. Can you forgive me?
- My Hokies lost. It sucks. At least we can get away from National Championship talk. Our opening game against Alabama proves that we don’t have what it takes. More specifically, our offense doesn’t have what it takes.
- In a bout of depression, I turned to video games. I powered through Uncharted 2: Among Thieves on Saturday. I started playing around noon, took a break for the VT game, wiped up my tears and went back at it. Next thing I know it’s 2am and I am at awe. This commercial is legit. The game is cinematic to its core. If you own a PS3, buy this game
- I picked up some new ear buds. My iPod ones have officially become broke-ass. The little rubbery part on the edge pealed off on both buds. I checked out a pair of Skull Crackers and JVC Marshmallows. Go with the Marshmallows.
- Transformers 2 is out on Blu-ray tomorrow. Buy it.
- The home ownership thing is still spinning in circles. I’m not in a place financially where I can take this stuff seriously, but I like to look around to see what works for the money, what I like, what I don’t. However when these places are being swept up less than 48 hours after hitting the market, it’s a major buzz kill.
- Episode 76 of the Post Game Report is out. Download it.
- Finally, thanks to everyone for the support for my podcast. It’s definitely a change of pace from what I am used to, but I am very excited. I have spoken with some familiar faces among the DOC and they have been gracious enough to spend an hour on the mic with lil ol’ me in the near future. So be on the lookout for ninjas, home decorators, future moms, and a couple Philly fans among others. (Testing your knowledge of the DOC with that /tease).
